NOTICE: (UPDATE below) Please be aware, New Central Avenue will be closed to all traffic (including emergency vehicles) between Hillside Boulevard and North Hope Chapel Road in Jackson Township tomorrow, August 6, between the hours of 7:00 AM and approximately 3:30 PM. Motorists will find a posted detour at New Central Avenue and Miller Road directing them north on Miller Road to Hope Road, then south on Hope Road returning to New Central Avenue in Jackson Township. Motorists on North Hope Chapel Road in Jackson Township will find a posted detour at New Central Avenue and North Hope Chapel Road directing them north on North Hope Chapel Road to Miller Road, then south on Miller Road returning to New Central Avenue. Residents within the detour and work zone will always have access to their homes. This closure is necessary to allow New Jersey American Water Company and Sambol Construction Company access to sewer utilities beneath the street on New Central Avenue between Hillside Boulevard and Irene Court.U/D 9:35 a.m Due to inclement weather, the New Central Avenue Road closure scheduled for today, August 6, is postponed to Friday, August 7.
