Woman Posing As Photographer Robs Frum Home

URGENT: A Frum lady had her wallet stolen from her home today, after letting a woman-claiming to be a photographer doing a documentary-into her home. The perpetrator-who says she's from Israel-tried to gain entry into numerous homes in the Ridge area but was unsuccessful. One woman however, let her into her home. After a short time in the home, she walked out with the homeowners wallet. A couple of hours ago, Sovereign Bank phoned the homeowner regarding a purchase of $950 made on her credit card at Shop Rite. It was at that point that the homeowner realized her wallet was stolen and contacted police. Police are currently investigating and working to obtain video surveillance footage. Anyone with information on the woman is asked to call PD immediately.

The problem is not the phtographer. The issue at hand is that we have people in this town who do`nt think before letting strangers into their homes.
These families will turn over the world for the chinuch of thier children and send them to the very best schools , but they have no issues hiring outside help with out doing a thorough check on their cleaning ladies. These mothers have no problem entrusting TOTAL STRANGERS who are here illegally to serve lunch to thier precious children with out any supervision what so ever. There are mothers who allow there helpers go out with thier little toddlers with out a clue as to who they really are and where they go .! Is it any wonder why we get robbed so blind??

No the fault is not all on the homeowner... I enjoy living here in Lakewood because we can trust our neighbors... I believe the problem lies in the store/shop owners. I have also had my credit card stolen awhile back and ALL major stores in NJ do not check ID's

I moved here from California and if using a credit card the merchant will check your ID to see if it matches the card you have supplied for payment. Most times they are okay if just the last name matches. Ever since I have been here in NJ I have not been ID'd once when paying by credit card
