Maybe we won't be considered "easy targets", consider last post. Are there any Rabbanim who would be maskim to this all men, frum class of self-defense?

I heard there was a Krav Maga (Israeli self-defense) class that was starting in town.

Could this be done with correct haskafos, midos?

I think we need shooting lessons to live in Lakewood.

Krav is just as effective when properly used by a woman as a man. Krav Maga was designed to be simple and effective regardless of age, size, and gender. It is taught to the Israeli Defense Force which consist of a large number of women (unfortunately).

Useful in unprovoked attacks. Nothing pretty or fancy about it. Survival at the core level against violent predators.

Beginners need about three months of twice a week (2-3 hours/week) to become effective (to ESCAPE) against 90-95% of most violent assailants (unarmed). Vital points of attack are eyes, throat, low mid-section, knees.

I teaches strong reactive skills. Seen it action; fast, and effective.

Frum Defense said...

Anyone interested in taking a self defense class please email me at ************* I know of an excellent instructor who caters to the frum community. He and his wife have been doing this all their life. If there is enough interest, I can speak with them and set up classes for both women and men. Of course they would be held separately .They have tremendous sensitivity, respect and understanding of the frum communities needs. I and several others have been taking classes with him for a while. To the writer above who feels it is not Yiddish, Please explain to us why its not. (Of course if you [the reader] agree it’s not Yiddish then just don’t participate…) If one is doing it short term just to learn basic self defense then I really don’t know what you want? Does Hashem want me or my wife to be hurt or worse chas v’sholom if we were attacked? (See post above “Davidovitz And Goldbaum Attacked Because They Are Orthodox”. I don’t think so. But of course if one is not sure, they can always ask their Rov.
If you want to do it long term then here are a few reasons why you may want to.
It is
1. Healthy, both for cardio and toning. It increases your flexibility
which is extremely important.
2. Great for weight loss.
3. Great stress reliever.
4. Improves your focus
5. Helps ingrain good habits which you will have for the rest of your life.

So if you are interested please fell free to email me with any question you may have.

Not for lakewood?? What's that supposed to mean? If chas vashalom someone gets attacked are they supposed to let themselves get beaten. The torah says u hav to protect urself!!
