Hungry? Oorah Giving Away Free Hot Dogs

The Oorah BoyZone and Oorah GirlZone summer camps are holding a hot dog giveaway to end the summer season. The camp is inviting Gilboa residents to a kosher weenie roast and giveaway from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. "Most of us are only here for the summer months, and we're so busy with the camp that sometimes we don't get to meet all of our neighbors," said camp spokesman Clifford Meth. "So we thought this would be a great way to say hello and goodbye again until next summer." The Oorah camp is located at 964 S. Gilboa Drive. It recently purchased the former location of the Scotch Valley Ski Area in Jefferson, where Oorah will operating a second camp next summer. Oorah will be handing out packages of kosher hot dogs to adults as well as grilling them on the spot. "We have wonderful neighbors," Meth said, "and we're looking forward to seeing the ones we know as well as the many Gilboans that we haven't yet met." Daily Star.

nice to see where my donations are going to a very worthy cause!

fda is considering labeling hot dog as cancer causing . so are you trying to poison us too?

Those that think that is not a worthy cause have no concept of public relations. Oorah might in the future need the support of locals on matters like zoning or need to do business with local businesses. Trying to show that you care to be good neighbors is money well spent.

dont comment about where your money is going when you donate to oorah unless you have seen what 5 minutes is like in girlzone/boyzone!!!! then youll realize that every penny you donated was a hundred percent worth it!!!!

as someone who is very invovled with Oorah and their summer camps I can testify that although this may appear trivial and a waste of money it really is not. Being nice and considerate to our neighbors and giving them something small goes a far way in making a peaceful relationship and will hopefully help in the future when we need their support. The work that Oorah puts in to its summer camps and the amazing outcome of all the work is something so phenomenal that unless you witness it you cant begin to fathom.
