Heat Advisory In Effect Today
A heat advisory will be in effect today for a dozen counties from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., as temperatures are expected to rise into the low to mid-90s, according to meteorologists at the National Weather Service. The counties where the advisory will be in effect are: Warren, Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Salem, Ocean, Cumberland, Atlantic, Cape May and southeastern Burlington. There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms into the afternoon and evening hours, which should ease the heat slightly, meteorologists said. Tuesday should be cooler, with the mercury dropping to the mid-80s. Star Ledger
