An admitted member of the Bloods street gang said today that he acted as a middleman to arrange what he thought would be the murder of a witness at last year's Lakewood barbershop murder trial, and agreed to testify against his alleged co-conspirators. Joseph Powell, 23, of Lakewood pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder, conspiracy to commit witness tampering and unlawful possession of a .45-caliber handgun.
