Tent City Stirs Controversy

Video below from Nj.com. (Please note, there are women in the video). For years, homeless advocate Steven Brigham, of Lakewood Outreach Ministry, has been visiting squatters camps in and around Lakewood. Like all the homeless camps in the area, this one is illegal. Residents say the camp is a functioning community and would like to see it legitimized on donated land. The township says the camps are dangerous and untenable, no matter how organized they are. Just a couple months ago, The Lakewood Scoop reported about a homeless man which was killed, when his tent caught fire. Click here to see the report.

Throw the bums out. Especially Minister Steve, who calls the building of Westgate anti-christian. His reason: It contains 2 sinks.

According to that logic, an apartment containing 1 sink is anti-jewish. He preys on these people for his own self-image. These people need help, physically and mentally. Having a self-serving idiot running the place will keep these people in this situation forever. Get rid of the bums and start rehabilitating these people.

We pay taxes to live in our homes, to fund this township, to maintain the "public lands". You can't live for "free" on public lands which tax payers pay for. Let them pay rent or taxes or whatever for living there.
