TONIGHT! Oorah-thon!

In case you haven't noticed all the signs in the lawns around town, tonight is the famous Oorah-thon! Beginning at 10:00 p.m tonight, Country Yossi and Rav Moshe Meir Weiss Shlita, will be hosting the show. There's a lot of great entertainment planned for the night, so you don't want to miss it! You can either watch it streaming live by clicking here, or you can listen live on 770 WABC or on Kol Berama 107.9.

Will I also notice the signs next week or will they have the decency to collect them?

Whats wrong with the guy in the hat? It's actually pretty cute! Do we complain about santa having a white hat?! Why should anyone complain about this character in a white hat??!!

Yesh Lach'kor?
May one go to sleep without a
"SHLUF KAPPOTA"? I mean 'shluf Kappel'? On that night? How about all other night of the year?
Oid yes lach'kor?
If radio became 'mootar' for this event? (You remember when radio was 'osur' just as internet?) Who are the 'mateerim'? Who was 'matir' the internet for "this event"? Is the 'heter' 'poi'rai'ach' at midnight? or can one wait until 1:00AM? If one has no internet in his home ('al pi atzaz ge'doilay zemaneinu')can he go watch it by his friend? how about a 'goish' friend?

All the above is 'le'hagdil toirah...
Oorah maybe will publish a 'kuntrus' to answer all these and other 'shalois'.

the biggest chilul hashem and waist of yiddish gelt is the faCT THAT THEY LITERALLY BLOW MONEY LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW. There are 2 schools of thought . Some will say that the ends justifies the means . In other words if I can raise 2 million dollars for a worthy cause but in order to do that I have to collect 10 million and spend 8 million of it on adverstising and other office expenses ,it is still good .Others will say that it might be better not to raise the 2 million if it means wasting 80 cents of every dollar on fundraising expenses . Even if that means you will not have the money for that particular good cause .The end does not always justify the means and if we cant raise the money in a normal way with giving the vast majority of it to the good cause ,then HASHEM DOES NOT ASK US TO DO MORE . I am in no way insinuating that these figures have anything to do with OORAH as I have no idea. They were just an example of the 2 schools of thought .
