Photos below of the flooding at Lawrence/Squankum area. The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory and a severe weather statement for Monmouth and Ocean counties this morning. Heavy rainfall throughout the area is expected to elevate water levels in creeks and streams and cause ponding in urban areas, the advisory states. Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue throughout the day and night. We urge our readers to use caution when driving in deep waters as this can damage your vehicle.
