b/c he gets paid doesn't mean it's not sad. any work they do for hatzolah will be rewarded for in the world to come no matter if he is Jewish or not. God appreciates the work they do.

All you bored stiffs;would you for once look at the good someone does(pay,no pay for cryin out sake)?!! Always find something negative. What a wonderful way to spend your days on this world!

He wasnt saying that it isnt a sad situation . He was responding to the very first commentator who wrote how this driver gives up his weekends for helping hatzoloh . It is true , its a job he gets paid for ,but gives up his weekends? . Sad it is non the less

I don't know what he gets paid but one thing is for sure I don't see others lining up for the job so its safe to assume the pay ain't that great cutos to 94 for a job well done and we appreciate it

no one is lioning up for the job because it cant wait. its given to the first person who comes along because yidden need him . bottom line he does a job and gets paid.sad he had an accident but he does not give up his weekends for this .

You know, the level of comments reminds me of how my kids bicker. I didn't think for a second who he was going to or how much he was paid. My first thought was to wonder if he was okay and was happy to see he received only minor injuries. My second was to be annoyed that they gave him two citations when he was trying to do something that would help and clearly it was a case of human error. I doubt he INTENDED to hit the hydrant, so why the citations?
