BREAKING NEWS Swine Flu Confirmed In Lakewood

BREAKING NEWS FIRST REPORT. The Lakewood Scoop has just confirmed that a student of one of the local schools, (name withheld upon request), has come down with the Swine Flu. There are rumors going around that the school where the student attends would close down tomorrow, however, The Lakewood Scoop has confirmed that that is not the case. We do not have any additional information which we can release at this time. We will keep you posted with any further details.
U/D 1:45 p.m TLS has just spoken with Dr. Shaniks office regarding the Flu. Although no Swine Flu patients have been confirmed through their office at this time, they have been and continue to test patients with symptoms. We were told to note, that the symptoms may come across as regular Flu symptoms, including Fever (usually high), Headache, Tiredness (can be extreme), Cough, Sore throat, Runny or stuffy nose, Body aches, Diarrhea and vomiting (more common among children than adults). If you come down with any of the above symptoms, make sure, if it is a student, he/she remains at home and have the patient checked out immediately by a Dr. who might do a rapid flu test to see if the patient has an influenza A infection. Further testing can then be done to see if it is a swine flu infection. We will continue to monitor all further developments on this story.

held upon request means the scoop respects their request not to publish their name which they should be commended for. if ur son goes to school and you are afraid the school has it, call the school...
