Two New Jersey lawmakers believe a simple marketing change could help boost the sales of products made with Garden State produce. Assemblymen Nelson T. Albano and Matthew W. Milam have sponsored legislation that would designate baked goods and other food products prepared with homegrown fruit and vegetables as "Made With Jersey Fresh." The bill (A-4038) also would encourage the state , as well as service areas along the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike and Atlantic City Expressway , to buy "Made With Jersey Fresh" products and promote them to customers. It was recently approved 79-0 by the Assembly and referred to the Senate's Economic Growth Committee. AP
