Raintree Community Moves Into New Shul

After much planning and hard work, the Raintree community has finally moved in to their new Bais Medrash located on the corner of Lanes Mill Rd. and Alvarado Avenue. The Bais Medrash, Khal Yaakov Akiva L’Zecher Nishmas R’ Yaakov Akiva Kalisch, led by the Mara D’Asra Rav Noach Witty Shlita, continues to attract Bnei Torah and Bnei Aliyah from far and wide, and the flourishing Raintree community continues to grow at a rapid rate. Just a few short years ago the Raintree area was unknown to anyone in Lakewood, yet today boasts over 120 Frum families. A year and a half ago at the Hanochas Even HaPinah (which was dedicated L’Ilui Nishmas R’ Yechezkael Golombeck Zatzal who lived in the community, and whose name the upstairs Bais Medrash, Heichal Zichron Yechezkael, will bear) this building was only a dream; today it is a reality. A Gala Chanukas Habayis is planned for Sunday afternoon June 14th from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m, to celebrate the completion of the new Shul building. Roshei Yeshiva, Rabbonim and Askanim from throughout Lakewood are expected to be in attendance at this milestone event. There are still some dedication opportunities available. This is the main community shul with 75-100 mispalelim, led by their Rov, R' Noach Witty. There is a shul in the nearby area known as Glen Pines, and there is a Minyan led by R' Yedidya Pereira on Todd Court, as well as Rabbi Rosenblatt's Yeshiva.

Like every other neighborhood in Lakewood, Raintree has a nice mix of Yeshivaleit, Balebatim, Mechanchim etc.

I have a brother in law who lives there, andhave been there for shabbos a few times. It is a beautiful neighborhood with very fine people.

I hope that answers all the querstions.

to all commenters i have spent afew shabbosim there and think its a relly nice place to live every one lives in harmoney and bachdus a real beautiful community .. i would move there in a minute if i had not already bought in the prospect area ..but i heard that the prices just dropped there , it would be a really great opportunity for young couples that would want to own their own house .. and the rent is going through the sky in lakewood its going to soon cost more to rent then pay a mortgage , i am not sure how much longer these landlords will get a free pass to charge what ever rent they dream of

Math prof... that's 120 FAMILIES and 75-100 people at the minyan. Your math is a little off. Families can have sons, you know.
