Ralph Zuckers' Development May Sell To Younger Crowd After All

At Wednesday's Township Committee meeting, the committee announced that it would proceed with removing the age restriction at the Pine River Village, marking the first sign of progress almost a year after the senior community's residents pleaded for the change in order to attract younger home buyers during the recession. The neighborhood, slated to hold 175 homes, is only about one-sixth complete after more than three years. The committee said it received a letter from its attorney stating that changing the deed and zoning to allow all ages was legal. Committee members still want to meet with the developer, Ralph Zucker, to examine his plans before making it final. app.

I dont know Ralph and it could very well be that 1:09 is correct about him. the least he should do if what your saying is true, pay for the land the real value since he did get a better price becouse he was going to build for senior's. If he does that, then we can say what your saying about him is true.

part of the problem is that thehomes were much too pricey for most seniors. it was cateringto the wealthy who could afford to pay 400K for a second home or those who owned homes in NY and were willing to sell. Even a homeowner in out of town (Baltimore, Detroit) wouldn't be able to trade their current house for one of those. of course, he couldn't sell out! what was anyone thinking????

great news.. whos the broker?

please understand that if he got the land without a fair deal, he isnt just profiting; he is profoting from any other lakewood homeowner since the land could have been sold for more!

none of u guys have a clue what u are talking abt he actually paid a lot of money over 9 million that is over market value

How is what he is being accused here of doing different than the LAC's platform?

These guys bought homes in developments *at a discount* because they agreed to provide their own services which in turn allowed the developers to build the development at a substantial savings.

Now, once they're in, they want the city (i.e. you and me - the taxpayers) to pay for those services. We're bing asked to subsidize the discount they received on their homes for foregoing services.
