In a continuing effort to service the needs of the quickly growing Lakewood community, Hatzolah has added an additional 4 members to its existing 43 member team to bring it to a total of 47 members. Just last year, Hatzolah has added 3 members and continues to do so as needed. The new members are located in, Chateau Park/Chestnut area , Jackson/Lakewood border and in Ridge/Raintree area. Hatzolah responds to approximately 2,500 calls yearly with an average response time of under 2 minutes.

What % of those calls benefit those *outside* of our community? What % of those calls are to provide non emergent services? What is the average response time of the (usually better trained and equipped) numerous other emergency medical service providers in the Lakewood area? Finally, at what cost to the community are the remaining minority of calls which are actually providing a service - better response time in providing emergent services to members of our community?

The average response time is a garbage stat - they measure the arrival of the first yoyo with a bag and not the arrival of the bus.

the response time to any location south of prospect street, is still 4-6 minutes. they will not admit it but ask the people that call or listen for yourself.....
