Updated. The Lakewood Association Coalition (LAC) has announced that it will be holding meetings this Motzei Shabbos, to assist home owners in filing appeals to have their property tax assessments lowered as reported in The Voice Of Lakewood. The meetings will take place Motzei Shabbos March 21st, at 9:30 p.m. at the Lakeview Shul on Route 88, Lakewood Courtyard and the Sterling Forest Shul. LAC Representatives will be on hand to assist the homeowners in filling out the one page reassessment form.
U/D has added Kol Aryeh Shul (Hope Chapel) as a fourth location for the Motzei Shabbos meetings.

Most people in those areas have reasonable assessments so why file?
In order to receive a reduction comparable sales of lower values than your assessment (no short sale or foreclosure) must be used.
