Lakewood police officer Eric Menck, accused in 2005 of brutality, testified yesterday at the assault trial of his accuser that she threw repeated punches at him, butted him with her head and tried to kick him when he told her he was placing her under arrest for an earlier disturbance in a beauty supply store. Officer Menck testified that Nichole Robinson, now 33, of Williamsburg Lane, Lakewood, was calm until he told her he was placing her under arrest for the disturbance, and then she became irate and violently resisted his efforts to handcuff her. Robinson is on trial before Superior Court Judge James Den Uyl. She is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and making terroristic threats against Menck, who was never charged in the Nov. 20, 2005 incident at the defendant's home.
